We finally got around to adding some more desktop wall papers. Selecting either the image or the descriptive text will open the image in a new window. From there just right-click [PC] or ctrl-click [Mac] to save the file.
This time around we've included some of the background images used in the site. Though the coloured bamboo image is really homage to a great new bamboo plant we have in the backyard.
Along with the Tate Modern desktops we've added Frank Lloyd Wright's Marin County Civic Center. It was the only civic building design of his built - and, more importantly, was the ultra-cool backdrop to a sci-fi flick [Gattaca]. The popularity of Herzog & de Meuron's redo of a power plant along the Thames proves that you don't have to wrap a building in undulating titanium to attract a crowd. Take a great old building in a great location, a Pritzker Prize winning architecture firm, add a program of the world's best in contemporary and modern art and what do you have? A fun day out for the whole family, that's what!
